1   Ashley (FC) and another (FC) (Respondents) v Chief Constable of Sussex Police (Appellant) It was moved by Lord Bingham of Cornhill that the 35th Report from the Appellate Committee be agreed to; the motion was agreed to. It was ordered and adjudged that the Order of Her Majesty’s Court of Appeal of 27 July 2006 be affirmed and the appeal dismissed; that the appellant do pay or cause to be paid to the respondents their costs of the appeal to this House, the amount of such costs to be certified by the Clerk of the Parliaments if not agreed between the parties; and that the costs of the respondents in this House be taxed in accordance with the Access to Justice Act 1999. [2008] UKHL 25

2   Earl Cadogan (Appellant) v Pitts and another (Respondents) and one other action (England) The appeal of the Earl Cadogan was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 4 June.

3   R (on the application of JL) (Respondent) v Secretary of State for Justice (Appellant) The appeal was set down for hearing and referred to an Appellate Committee (lodged 22 April).

4   Appeal Committee The 59th Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following Orders were made:
