SUMMARY

This Report explains some of the decisions and recommendations the Select Committee on the Crossrail Bill made after sitting in public for 29 days of hearings and considering the cases presented on 45 of the 113 petitions[1] deposited against the Crossrail Bill.

This Report details many, but not all of the cases presented in Committee. The Committee has only commented on cases where it was deemed necessary. In all other cases, the Committee was satisfied with the undertakings and assurances offered by the Promoter to the Petitioner.

1 A petition is a summary of objections to particular aspects of the Bill. It is a request to the House of Commons or the House of Lords for the Petitioner to be allowed to argue their case before a Select Committee, in this instance, on the Crossrail Bill. Back
