1   Royal Assent The Lord Speaker (Baroness Hayman) notified the Queen’s Assent to the following Act:

2   National Health Service: consultants A question was asked by Baroness Knight of Collingtree and answered by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath.

3   International law: journalists A question was asked by Lord Faulkner of Worcester and answered by Lord Triesman.

4   United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities A question was asked by Lord Morris of Manchester and answered by Baroness Morgan of Drefelin.

5   National Health Service: doctors’ training A question was asked by Lord Turnberg and answered by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath.

6   Business of the House The Lord President (Baroness Amos) moved that the debate on the motion in the name of Lord Patel set down for today shall be limited to 3 hours and the debate on the two motions in the name of Lord Broers to 2 hours. The motion was agreed to.

7   Stem-cell research (3-hour debate) Lord Patel moved for papers relating to the potential benefits of stem cell research and related issues. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

8   Schools: science teaching (2-hour debate) Lord Broers moved for papers relating to science teaching. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

9   Schools: science teaching (S&T Report) Lord Broers moved that this House takes note of the Report of the Science and Technology Committee on Science Teaching in Schools (10th Report, Session 2005-06, HL Paper 257). The motion was agreed to.

10   Gambling Act 2005 (Exclusion of Children from Track Areas) Order 2007 Lord Davies of Oldham moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 21 February be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

11   Gambling Act 2005 (Mandatory and Default Conditions) (England and Wales) Regulations 2007 Lord Davies of Oldham moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 26 February be approved. The motion was agreed to.

12   Integration Loans for Refugees and Others Regulations 2007 Lord Bassam of Brighton moved that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 21 February be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

13   Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Amendment of Section 76(3)) Order 2007 Lord Bassam of Brighton moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 8 March be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.
