1   Lord Mowbray and Stourton The Lord Speaker informed the House that Lord Mowbray and Stourton, a member of the House, had died on 12 December 2006.

Public Business

2   Roads: cyclists A question was asked by Lord Janner of Braunstone and answered by Lord Davies of Oldham.

3   National Health Service: VAT recovery A question was asked by Baroness Neuberger and answered by Lord McKenzie of Luton.

4   Regional assemblies A question was asked by Lord Teverson and answered by Baroness Andrews.

5   Afghanistan: police training A question was asked by Lord Astor of Hever and answered by Baroness Royall of Blaisdon.

6   HIV/AIDS (Balloted debate) Lord Fowler moved for papers relating to the Government’s policy on HIV/AIDS and sexual health. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

7   Post offices A statement was repeated by Lord Truscott.

8   Immigration and asylum (Balloted debate) Lord Hylton moved for papers relating to the human consequences of current immigration and asylum law and practice and to possible improvements in the systems of assessment, care and support. After debate, the motion was withdrawn.

9   Petroleum Act 1998 (Third Party Access) Order 2007 Lord Truscott moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 20 November be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

10   Science and Technology Facilities Council Order 2007 Lord Truscott moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 20 November be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

11   BAE Systems: Al Yamamah Contract Lord Goldsmith made a ministerial statement.

12   Technology Strategy Board Order 2007 Lord Truscott moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 23 November be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

13   Employment Act 2002 (Amendment of Schedules 3, 4 and 5) Order 2006 Lord Truscott moved that the draft Order laid before the House on 23 November be approved. After debate, the motion was agreed to.

14   Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Bill [HL] The bill was reported from the Grand Committee with amendments. It was ordered that the bill be printed as amended. (HL Bill 22)

2   Appeal Committee The 14th Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following Orders were made:
