The appeals were set down for hearing and referred to an Appellate Committee (lodged 11th May).
3. Whaley and another (Appellant) v. Advocate General for Scotland and another and others (Respondents) (Scotland)The petition of the appellant praying that the time for lodging the statement and appendix and setting down the cause for hearing might be extended to 22nd June (the agents for the respondents consenting thereto) was presented; and it was ordered as prayed (lodged 21st April).

6. Police (Northern Ireland) Bill [HL]The bill was read a third time and passed and sent to the Commons.
7. Assisted Dying for the Terminally Ill Bill [HL]It was moved by the Lord Joffe that the bill be now read a second time; then it was moved by the Lord Carlile of Berriew, as an amendment thereto, to leave out now and at end insert this day six months; after debate, the amendment was agreed to (see division list).
8. Housing Corporation (Delegation) etc. BillA bill to make provision about the delegation of functions by the Housing Corporation and Housing for Wales and about the validation of things done or evidenced by, and the authentication of the fixing of, their seals was brought from the Commons, read a first time and ordered to be printed. 10. Climate Change and Sustainable Energy BillA bill to make provision about the reduction of emissions of greenhouse gases, the alleviation of fuel poverty, the promotion of microgeneration and the use of heat produced from renewable sources, compliance with building regulations relating to emissions of greenhouse gases and the use of fuel and power, the renewables obligation relating to the generation and supply of electricity and the adjustment of transmission charges for electricity; and for connected purposes was brought from the Commons, read a first time and ordered to be printed.
