1. Bradford & Bingley plc (Appellants) v. Rashid (Respondent) (England)The appeal of Bradford & Bingley plc was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 11th January.
2. R v. Al-Khawaja (Petitioner)The petition of Imad Al-Khawaja praying for leave to appeal in accordance with the Criminal Appeal Act 1968 was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.
3. Appeal CommitteeThe 62nd Report from the Appeal Committee was agreed to and the following Order was made
R (on the application of Hurst) (Respondent) v. Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis (Petitioner)That leave to appeal be given; and that the petition of appeal be lodged by 14th December.

8. Statutory InstrumentsThe 11th Report from the Joint Committee was made on certain statutory instruments, including the following affirmative instruments:
Draft Communications Act 2003 (Maximum Penalty and Disclosure of Information) Order 2005;
Draft International Criminal Court (Immunities and Privileges) Order 2005;
Draft National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005;
Draft Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2005;
Draft Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 (Amendment) Order 2005;

Public Business
9. Lighter Evenings (Experiment) Bill [HL]A bill to advance time by one hour throughout the year for an experimental period; and for connected purposes was presented by the Lord Tanlaw, read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 48)
10. Business of the HouseIt was moved by the Lord President (Baroness Amos) that Standing Order 41 (Arrangement of the Order Paper) be dispensed with tomorrow to allow the motion standing in the name of the Lord Radice to be taken before the motion in the name of the Baroness Morgan of Drefelin; the motion was agreed to.

It was moved by the Lord Triesman that the draft Orders laid before the House on 3rd November and 26th October be approved en bloc; the motion was agreed to.
13. Commons Bill [HL]The bill was further considered on report; amendments were moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn; amendments were disagreed to (see division lists 1 and 2); amendments were agreed to; it was ordered that the bill be printed as amended. (HL Bill 49)
14. Civil Partnership (Judicial Pensions and Church Pensions, etc.) Order 2005It was moved by the Lord Evans of Temple Guiting that the draft Order laid before the House on 17th October be approved; after debate, the motion was agreed to.
15. Civil Partnership (Jurisdiction and Recognition of Judgments) Regulations 2005It was moved by the Lord Evans of Temple Guiting that the draft Regulations laid before the House on 27th October be approved; the motion was agreed to.
16. Civil Partnership (Family Proceedings and Housing Consequential Amendments) Order 2005It was moved by the Lord Evans of Temple Guiting that the draft Order laid before the House on 19th October be approved; the motion was agreed to.
17. Civil Partnership (House of Commons Members Fund) Order 2005It was moved by the Lord Evans of Temple Guiting that the draft Order laid before the House on 13th October be approved; the motion was agreed to.
