1. Consignia plc (formerly the Post Office) (Respondents) v. Sealy (FC) (Petitioner)—The petition of Russell Sealy praying for leave to appeal notwithstanding that the time limited by Standing Order II has expired was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee. The petitioner’s certificate of public funding was lodged.

Select Committee Report
6. Constitution Committee—The 7th Report from the Select Committee, on the Criminal Justice Bill, was made and ordered to be printed. (HL Paper 129)
Public Business
7. Steel industry—It was moved by the Lord Brookman that there be laid before the House papers relating to the state of the United Kingdom steel industry and of United Kingdom manufacturing generally; after debate, the motion was (by leave of the House) withdrawn.
8. Patients’ Protection Bill [HL]—The House again resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were moved and (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn; the House was resumed and the bill was reported with amendments; it was ordered that the bill be printed as amended. (HL Bill 86)
