1. South Ayrshire Council (Appellants) v. Milligan (Respondent) (Scotland)—The appeal of South Ayrshire Council was presented and it was ordered that in accordance with Standing Order VI the statement and appendix thereto be lodged on or before 28th April next.
2. Naylor (Respondent) v. Volex Group plc (sued as Volex Wiring Systems Limited) (Petitioners)—The petition of Volex Group plc praying for leave to appeal was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee (lodged 11th March).
3. Wrexham County Borough Council (Appellants) v. Berry (Respondent)—
4. South Bucks District Council (Appellants) v. Porter and another (FC) (Respondents)—

Société Eram Shipping Company Limited (Respondents) and others v. Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (Appellants)—That the petition of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation praying for leave to submit and rely on further evidence be allowed.

12. Water Bill [HL]—It was moved by the Baroness Farrington of Ribbleton, on behalf of the Lord Whitty, that it be an instruction to the Grand Committee to which the Water Bill [HL] has been committed that they consider the Bill in the following order:

13. Consolidated Fund (No. 2) Bill—It was moved by the Lord McIntosh of Haringey that the bill be now read a second time; the motion was agreed to and the Committee was negatived; then, Standing Order 47 having been dispensed with, the bill was read a third time and passed.
14. Community Care (Delayed Discharges etc.) Bill—The bill was read a third time; amendments were moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn; amendments were agreed to; further amendments were agreed to (see division lists 1 to 3); then the bill was passed and returned to the Commons with amendments.
15. Crime (International Co-operation) Bill [HL]—The bill was read a third time; amendments were agreed to; a further amendment was agreed to (see division list 4); amendments were moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn; then, after debate, the bill was passed and sent to the Commons.
16. Electricity (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill—The bill was reported from the Grand Committee without amendment.
17. Health (Wales) Bill—The report was received; an amendment was moved and (by leave of the House) withdrawn.
18. Iraq: legality of armed force (3-hour debate)—It was moved by the Lord Goodhart that there be laid before the House papers relating to the obligations of the United Kingdom under international law concerning the use of armed force; after debate, the motion was (by leave of the House) withdrawn.
19. Northern Ireland Assembly Elections Bill—A bill to make provision about the date of the poll for the election of the next Northern Ireland Assembly, and for disregarding certain days for the purposes of the period after a poll within which an Assembly must meet; and for connected purposes was brought from the Commons, read a first time and ordered to be printed. (HL Bill 47)
20. Northern Ireland Assembly Elections Bill—It was ordered that the Explanatory Notes relating to the bill be printed. (HL Bill 47-EN)
