2. Commissioners of Customs and Excise (Respondents) v. Barclays Bank plc (Petitioners)The petition of Barclays Bank plc praying for leave to appeal was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee (lodged 15th November).
3. Kuwait Airways Corporation (Appellants) v. Iraqi Airways Company (Body Corporate) and others (Respondents)The petition praying that the determination by the Clerk of the Parliaments of the respondents costs might be reviewed, was presented and referred to an Appeal Committee.

European Communities (Amendment) BillThe House again resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; an amendment was disagreed to (see division list 1); the House was resumed for a statement; the House again resolved itself into a Committee upon the bill; amendments were disagreed to (see division lists 2 and 3); amendments were moved and (by leave of the Committee) withdrawn; the House was resumed.
10. Cleaner coalThe Lord Lofthouse of Pontefract asked Her Majestys Government whether they support the case for a cleaner coal demonstration plant; after debate, the question was answered by the Lord Sainsbury of Turville.
