Second letter from the Ministry of Defence
During their appearance before the Chinook Committee
on 28 September 2001, Captain Cook and Mr Tapper put forward various
scenarios intended to cast doubt upon the verdict of Gross Negligence.
The Committee would wish to be aware of the
comments of Air Chief Marshal Sir John Day on the points raised
and I would be grateful if the attached could be passed to their
Lordships.
In the event that Lord Jauncey wishes to pursue
further any of the matters addressed, I should be pleased to do
so. No doubt you will let me know.
