Description of the different grant types
Fellowship GrantProvides post-doctoral researchers
with support, over three to five years, to enable them to obtain
research training in a new discipline or in their own field.
Project GrantSupports research for up to three years
conducted by holders of a tenure (an established academic post)
in a university or institution in the UK or Republic of Ireland.
Programme GrantSupports research over five years,
that can be carried out on a long term basis which allows researchers
to retain a research team and a regular source of funding.
