| Increase in penalties under sections 107 and 198. |
7. - (1) In section 107 of the 1988 Act (criminal liability for making or dealing with infringing articles, &c), in subsection (4)(b) for "two" substitute "seven".

(2) In section 198 of the 1988 Act (criminal liability for making, dealing with or using illicit recordings), for subsections (5) and (6) substitute-
|

"(5) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable-
|
| |
(a) on summary conviction to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum, or both; |
| |
(b) on conviction on indictment to a fine or imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years, or both." |
