The Orders of Reference are read.
It is moved, that for the purpose of hearing the
references on the effect of the House of Lords Bill, the Committee
should sit with three Lords of Appeal. The same is agreed to.
It is moved, that the House be asked to approve a
motion that, for the purpose of hearing the two references made
to the Committee, the senior Lord of Appeal present be appointed
Chairman; and that the Committee have leave to hear parties interested,
by themselves, their counsel, agents, and witnesses so far as
the Committee think fit. The same is agreed to.
Ordered, That the Committee
be adjourned to Thursday, the 14th October next, at a quarter-past
Ten o'clock.
