University Museums, Galleries and Collections: HEFC Funding
Lord Marlesford asked Her Majesty's Government:
- Further to the Answer given by Lord Henley on
9th December (H.L. Deb., col. WA 78), whether they will given the sum in financial support paid by the government during 1995-96 and planned for
1996-97 through the Higher Education Funding Council for England received by each of the 23
- museums, galleries and collections at 13 universities listed in that Answer.
Lord Henley: Table 1 below lists the non-formula funding allocated by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to each higher education institution to support the listed museums, galleries and collections for 1995-96 and 1996-97. Allocations for earth sciences collections are determined separately and are shown in Table 2. The allocations form part of the block grant paid by the council to higher education institutions.
