13 Carbon Dioxide Emissions from Cars and Light Commercial Vehicles,A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 119 (European Committees), That this House take note of European Union Document No. 5089/08 and Addenda 1 and 2, draft Regulation setting emissions performance standards for new passenger cars as part of the Community's integrated approach to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from light-duty vehicles; endorses the Government's backing of the principle of regulation; supports an approach that takes into account environmental ambition, technical and financial feasibility, and the reality of the diverse European car market; and notes that the Government will continue to pursue a strategy that balances these factors(Mr Bob Blizzard):It was agreed to. 14 Adjournment.
