The House met at half-past Nine o'clock.

1    The Speaker's Absence,—The House being met, and the Speaker having leave of absence pursuant to paragraph (3) of Standing Order No. 3 (Deputy Speaker), Sylvia Heal, the First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means, proceeded to the Table.

PRAYERS.

2    The First Deputy Chairman of Ways and Means took the Chair as Deputy Speaker.

3    Motion to sit in private,—David Howarth moved, That this House do sit in private.

    The Deputy Speaker put the Question forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 163 (Motions to sit in private).

    The House divided.

      Tellers for the Ayes, Annette Brooke, David Howarth: 0.

      Tellers for the Noes, Mrs Sharon Hodgson, Mr Sadiq Khan: 30.

    And it appearing on the report of the Division that fewer than forty Members had taken part in the Division, the Deputy Speaker declared that the Question was not decided.

4    A Message was brought from the Lords, as follows:

    The Lords agree without Amendment to the Amendments made by this House to the Transport for London Bill [Lords].

5    Special Educational Needs (Information) Bill,—The House, according to Order, proceeded to consider the Special Educational Needs (Information) Bill, not amended in the Public Bill Committee.

    A Clause (NC1) (Information on school provision)—(Annette Brooke)—brought up and read the first time.

    Question proposed, That the Clause be read a second time:—Clause, by leave, withdrawn.

    The Bill was read the third time, and passed.

6    Fixed Term Parliaments Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Fixed Term Parliaments Bill;

    Mr Thomas McAvoy acquainted the House, That he had it in Command from the Queen to acquaint the House that Her Majesty, having been informed of the purport of the Bill, had consented to place Her prerogative, so far as it is affected by the Bill, at the disposal of Parliament for the purposes of the Bill.

    And a Motion being made, and the Question being proposed, That the Bill be now read a second time;

    And it being half-past Two o'clock, the Debate stood adjourned.

    Ordered, That the Debate be resumed on Friday 6th June.

7    Human Rights Act 1998 (Meaning of Public Function) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Human Rights Act 1998 (Meaning of Public Function) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 6th June.

8    Disabled Persons (Independent Living) Bill [Lords],—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Disabled Persons (Independent Living) Bill [Lords];

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 20th June.

9    Environmental Protection (Airports) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Environmental Protection (Airports) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 6th June.

10    Disqualification from Parliament (Taxation Status) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for resuming the adjourned Debate on the Question proposed on 25th January, That the Disqualification from Parliament (Taxation Status) Bill be now read a second time;

    Ordered, That the Debate be resumed on Friday 6th June.

11    Citizens' Convention Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Citizens' Convention Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 13th June.

12    Foreign Nationals (Statistics) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Foreign Nationals (Statistics) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 6th June.

13    Drugs (Roadside Testing) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Drugs (Roadside Testing) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 6th June.

14    Drugs (Reclassification) Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Drugs (Reclassification) Bill;

    Ordered, That the Bill be read a second time on Friday 6th June.

15    Adjournment.
