8    Message from the Lords,—A Message was brought from the Lords, as follows:

    The Lords have agreed to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill, with Amendments; to which the Lords desire the concurrence of this House.

9    Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill,—Lords Amendments to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill to be considered on Tuesday 6th May; and printed pursuant to Standing Orders Nos. 57A (Bills brought from the Lords) and 78 (Lords amendments) on 30th April [Bill 104].

    Ordered, That the Explanatory Notes relating to the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill be printed [Bill 104-EN].

    10    The Middle East (Topical Debate),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House has considered the matter of the Middle East—(Dr Kim Howells);

      And it being one and half hours after the commencement of proceedings, the Motion lapsed without Question put, pursuant to Temporary Standing Order (Topical debates).

    11    Child Poverty in Scotland,—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House has considered the matter of child poverty in Scotland—(Mrs Anne McGuire);

      And it being Six o'clock, the Motion lapsed without Question put.

    12    Adjournment.

      Subject: Violent crime against taxi drivers (Mr Brian Binley).

      Resolved, That this House do now adjourn.—(Liz Blackman.)
