3    Third Delegated Legislation Committee,—Mr Jim Hood reported from the Third Delegated Legislation Committee the draft Representation of the People (Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and the draft Scottish Parliament (Elections etc.) (Amendment) Order 2008.

4    European Standing Committee,—Frank Cook reported from a European Standing Committee the following Resolution:

    That the Committee takes note of European Union Documents No. 14277/07 and Addenda 1 and 2, Commission Communication, The EU's freight transport agenda—Boosting the efficiency, integration and sustainability of freight transport in Europe, No. 14165/07 and Addendum 3, Commission Communication, Towards a rail network giving priority to freight, No. 14175/07 and Addenda 1 and 2, Commission Communication on a European ports policy, and No. 14266/07 and Addenda 1 and 2, Commission Communication, Freight transport logistics action plan; and endorses the Government's approach to discussions on these documents.

5    Borough Freedom Bill,—The Order for reading the Borough Freedom Bill a second time on Friday 29th February was read and discharged.

6    Police,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put, That the Police Grant Report (England and Wales) 2008-09 (House of Commons Paper No. 265), which was laid before this House on 24th January, be approved—(Mr Tony McNulty);

The House divided.

So the Question was agreed to.

7    Local Government Finance,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put, That the Local Government Finance Report (England) 2008-09 (House of Commons Paper No. 262), which was laid before this House on 24th January, be approved—(John Healey);

8    Northern Ireland,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Delegated Legislation Committees), That the draft Northern Ireland Arms Decommissioning Act 1997 (Amnesty Period) Order 2008, which was laid before this House on 4th December, be approved—(Mr Frank Roy):—It was agreed to.

9    Modernisation of the House,—Ordered, That Mr Adrian Sanders be discharged from the Select Committee on Modernisation of the House of Commons and John Hemming be added.—(Mr Nicholas Brown.)

10    Justice,—Ordered, That Mr Humfrey Malins be discharged from the Justice Committee and Mr Andrew Turner be added.—(Rosemary McKenna, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)
