2    Education and Skills Bill,—The Education and Skills Bill was, according to Order, read a second time.

3    Education and Skills Bill (Programme),—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 83A (Programme motions), That the following provisions shall apply to the Education and Skills Bill:

Committal

1. The Bill shall be committed to a Public Bill Committee.

Proceedings in Public Bill Committee

2. Proceedings in the Public Bill Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on 28th February 2008.

3. The Public Bill Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.

Consideration and Third Reading

4. Proceedings on consideration shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour before the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings are commenced.

6. Standing Order No. 83B (Programming committees) shall not apply to proceedings on consideration and Third Reading.

4    Education and Skills Bill [Money],—Her Majesty's Recommendation having been signified to the proposed Motion relating to Education and Skills Bill [Money];

A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 52 (Money resolutions and ways and means resolutions in connection with bills), That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Education and Skills Bill, it is expedient to authorise—

(1) the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

(a) any expenditure incurred by virtue of the Act by the Secretary of State or the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills, and

(b) any increase attributable to the Act in the sums which by virtue of any other Act are payable out of money so provided, and
