3    Private Bill Petitions,—The Speaker laid upon the Table a Report from the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, That, in the case of the Petitions for the following Bills, the Standing Orders have been complied with:

4    Private Bills,—The Chairman of Ways and Means reported, That, in accordance with Standing Order 81 relating to Private Business (Division of bills between this House and the House of Lords), he had conferred with the Chairman of Committees of the House of Lords, for the purpose of determining in which House of Parliament the respective Private Bills should be first considered, and they had determined that the Bills contained in the following list should originate in the House of Lords:

    and that the Bills contained in the following list should originate in the House of Commons:

5    Expenses of Public Servants (Publication) Bill,—Norman Baker presented a Bill to make provision for the recording and publication of specified expenses incurred by certain public servants; to promote transparency in the use of public funds; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 29th February and to be printed [Bill 46].

6    Road Traffic (Prohibition of Anti-Detection Devices) Bill,—Mr Alistair Carmichael presented a Bill to prohibit the supply of devices and substances designed to impair the recognition of vehicle registration marks by speed cameras and other authorised traffic control devices; and for connected purposes: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 16th May and to be printed [Bill 47].

7    Human Rights Act 1998 (Meaning of Public Function),—Ordered, That leave be given to bring in a Bill to clarify the meaning of 'public function' in section 6 of the Human Rights Act 1998: And that Mr Andrew Dismore, Dr Evan Harris, Nia Griffith, Mr Virendra Sharma, John Austin, Ms Karen Buck, Mr Paul Burstow, Clive Efford, Mike Gapes, Mr Andy Slaughter, Jeremy Corbyn and Shona McIsaac do prepare and bring it in.

8    Human Rights Act 1998 (Meaning of Public Function) Bill,—Mr Andrew Dismore accordingly presented a Bill to clarify the meaning of 'public function' in section 6 of the Human Rights Act 1998: And the same was read the first time; and ordered to be read a second time on Friday 16th May and to be printed [Bill 45].

9    Adjournment (Matters to be considered before the forthcoming adjournment),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House do now adjourn—(Mr Dave Watts);

    The Motion was, with the leave of the House, withdrawn.

10    Environmental Audit,—Ordered, That Mark Pritchard be discharged from the Environmental Audit Committee and Mr Ian Liddell-Grainger be added.—(Mr Alan Campbell, on behalf of the Committee of Selection.)
