1    Private Bills [Lords] (No Standing Order not previously inquired into applicable),—The Speaker laid upon the Table a Report from one of the Examiners of Petitions for Private Bills, That, in the case of the following Bills, originating in Lords, and referred after the First Reading thereof, no Standing Order not previously inquired into is applicable thereto, viz.:

    Bournemouth Borough Council Bill [Lords]

    Manchester City Council Bill [Lords].

2    Fifth Delegated Legislation Committee,—Mr Eric Illsley reported from the Fifth Delegated Legislation Committee the Government's Assessment as set out in the Pre-Budget Report for the purposes of section 5 of the European Communities (Amendment) Act 1993.

    Minutes of Proceedings of the Committee to lie upon the Table.

3    Peter Grant Peterkin CB OBE,—Resolved, nemine contradicente, That this House expresses its appreciation to Peter Grant Peterkin CB OBE for his distinguished public service career, including three years as Serjeant at Arms, and extends to him its best wishes for his retirement.—(Helen Goodman.)

4    Consolidated Fund Bill,—The Order of the day being read, for the Second Reading of the Consolidated Fund Bill;

    And a Motion being made, and the Question being put forthwith pursuant to Standing Order No. 56 (Consolidated Fund Bills), That the Bill be now read a second time:—It was agreed to.

    The Bill was accordingly read a second time.

    And the Question being put forthwith, That the Bill be now read the third time:—It was agreed to.

    The Bill was accordingly read the third time, and passed.

5    Health Consequences of Availability of Cheap Alcohol (Topical Debate),—A Motion was made, and the Question being proposed, That this House has considered the matter of health consequences of availability of cheap alcohol—(Mr Ben Bradshaw);

    And it being one and half hours after the commencement of proceedings, the Motion lapsed without Question put, pursuant to Temporary Standing Order (Topical debates).

6    Fisheries,—Resolved, That this House has considered the matter of fisheries.—(Jonathan Shaw.)

7    Criminal Law,—A Motion was made, and the Question being put forthwith, pursuant to Standing Order No. 118 (Delegated Legislation Committees), That the draft Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Additional Authorities) Order 2007, which was laid before this House on 6th November, be approved—(Mr Michael Foster):—It was agreed to.

8    Adjournment.
