The Committee published its Fifth Report of Session 2007-08 The proposed draft National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) (social welfare and other fields) Order 2008 on 26 June 2008. The Secretary of State for Wales wrote a letter to the Chairman of the Committee on 9 July which is published as an Appendix to this Special Report. The Order was published in draft form and laid before the National Assembly for Wales on 8 July 2008. The draft Order, together with an Explanatory Memorandum, are published as Appendices to this Special Report. It is anticipated that the draft Order will be laid before Parliament by the Secretary of State for Wales in the autumn.
