Oral questions - Lord Janner of Braunstone to ask the Chairman of Committees what progress has been made in the cleaning of the exterior of the Palace of Westminster; and when this work will be completed; Lord Dykes to ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have to celebrate Europe Day this year; Lord Waddington to ask Her Majesty's Government whether in negotiations within the European Union they propose to agree to a reduction in the number of policy areas covered by national vetoes.

Oral questions - Lord Hannay of Chiswick to ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the value of the United Kingdom's membership of the Seven Nation Initiative on Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament; and what are their intentions with regard to the future work of the group, particularly in the run up to the next review of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 2010; Lord Crickhowell to ask Her Majesty's Government what percentage of the total capital value of new hospital building projects, with a value of £29.7 million or above, built since 1997 relates to hospitals situated in Parliamentary constituencies which currently have a sitting Labour Member of Parliament; Lord Teverson to ask Her Majesty's Government when, following decisions taken at the March European Council on climate change, they expect the last incandescent light bulb to be switched off in the United Kingdom; Lord Eden of Winton to ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will review the decision to exclude some 22,000 Gurkha veterans who left service before 1997 from the new pension arrangements available to Gurkha veterans who retired after July 1997.
