European Documents Standing Committees
From the start of the 2005/06 session the European Standing Committees (ESC) lettered A, B and C, have been appointed with temporary membership for consideration of individual documents. Their composition appears in the Weekly Information Bulletin. They consider matters referred to them by the House and any Member may attend and speak. For further details see Factsheet L11 available from the House of Commons Information Office. Committees A, B and C deal with matters within the responsibilities of different Departments. The list is as follows:
