The Committee published its Ninth Report of Session 2005-06[1] on 30 October 2006. The Government's response was received on 10 January 2007 and is published as an Appendix to this Report. We wish the response to be in the public domain before we take oral evidence from the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry about the Government's intentions concerning the Post Office network and the financial framework for the Royal Mail Group as a whole. We may return to the substance of the Government's response following that evidence session.
