71. This Report is unusual in covering two years of OSI activity and we intend to return to the regular annual pattern of scrutiny and reporting. It is also unusual in its focus on the restructuring of the OSI, which was an unexpected development in this scrutiny period, which was also marked by the arrival of a new Science Minister. There are likely to be further significant developments which will affect the OSI in the coming year, including the outcome of the CSR and the results of the Sainsbury review. Indeed one question often speculated about is how long the OSI will continue in its current form. We look forward to considering developments in these and other areas in our report on the work of the OSI in 2007.
