Memorandum from Stephen Watt
(CJ&I 245)
I am writing to you as I am concerned about the amendments that
are to be proposed to the above Bill.
As committed Christians , we neither preach hatred nor
discriminate those whose practices are outside the church, We have to obey our
god and His word, what He condemns we cannot condone, Romans ch 1 v
27 --32 gives clear guidance to who can or cannot be accepted into a
fellowship of Bible Believing Christians, What goes on in the world again the
Scripture is clear in, Paul's letter to the Corinthians 1Cor 5 v 12 - 13
It is clear that men can live as they choose, but they answer to God not
Christians Ecclesiastes ch 11 v 9 and Acts ch 17 v31, We all have
sinned and come short of Gods glory, so we do not condemn any, the Word of
God is preached, and is either accepted or rejected by the hearers. These
quotations are from the KJV bible, authorised to be read in churches. Are those
against Christianity to try to have us forbidden to have a Bible ?
So I do not think to pass laws that would make law abiding citizens criminals,
Acts 5 v 29 for we must obey God rather than man.
It seems that Christians today are being targeted by those who have an agenda
to close the Christian faith, any further measures seem unnecessary.
Please then as a committee uphold the freedom of speech , and to
endanger us to become law breakers
Thank you for reading my submission, and those who worship with me.
