Letter to Ms Maria Fernandes from the
Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
The Chairman of the Standards and Privileges Committee
has given me the list you have provided of the "List of clients,
events and payments in and out in the knowledge of the directors
of the company" and your covering letter of 10 May 2001.
I am sorry to trouble you with additional work but I am afraid
I need further information so that I can understand the list correctly.
Please would you let me have:
1. The names and addresses of the organisations
or individuals who made the payments into and out of the company
with the amount concerned, date and purpose of the payment.
2. The period which the 'list' covers and the
level of payment over which you have made an entry on the list.
3. Please show any payment in or out which was
in any way related to the Hinduja family or Foundation.
4. Please state for whom a/the car/s were purchased
with dates and by whom it/they were used.
5. Please give details of the complete funding arrangements
for the following events
6. In your covering letter you say the list 'should
not be considered conclusive' as it was compiled 'without the
benefit of invoices, from the knowledge of the directors'. Since
this is the case please would you let me know the totals covered
by the entries on the list and the total received by the company
in each of the years covered by the list.
