APPENDIX 23
Untitled
Further Memorandum submitted by the Industrial
Development Board for Northern Ireland
I refer to your letter of 13 July to Jonathan
Margetts, seeking further information following Mr Ingram's appearance
before the Committee on 7 June 2000.
The Minister referred to the priority given
within the FCO network to encouraging inward investors to visit
Northern Ireland (Q390). There was an acceptance by the Invest
in Britain Bureau (IBB) that when IDB disengaged from the FCO
system on 2 April 1990, that Northern Ireland would retain its
priority status for inward investment into the UK. This position
has been continually reaffirmed by IBB.
Details of the commercial enterprises based
at the Springvale Business Park together with related employment
(Q392) are attached at Annex A.
