I refer to your Press Notice No 41 dated 4 November 1998 and am writing to add our Group's support to the evidence submitted by the National Federation of Badger Groups.

  After considerable discussion by our Group members we would also stress that, in our opinion, careful consideration be given to whether the present system of animal husbandry and artificial feeding is, perhaps, a significant factor in the spread of Bovine Tubercolosis.
