ANNEX D
Letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards
from the Rt Hon David Heathcoat-Amory MP
Thank you for your letter of 11 May responding to mine about the
case of Mr Geoffrey Robinson.
I enclose a copy of Hollis Industries plc accounts for the period
to 30 June 1990.5[14]
You will see (page 2) "G Robinson MP (Chairman)" and
on page 14, at the bottom, the emoluments of the Chairman are
stated at £200,000.
The company may well now be in liquidation since it was only able
to trade at that time because it was supported by the Mirror Group
plc, as stated on page 1. However subsequent events would not
alter the fact that for the period in question Mr Robinson was
a remunerated director and at no time was this recorded in the
Register of Members' Interests.
I hope this is helpful for your enquiry.
