University Pay
Mr. McLeish : To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science, pursuant to his answer to the hon. Member for Leeds, Central (Mr. Fatchett) of 15 April, Official Report, column 50, on expenditure on university pay, if he will break down the figure for other staff between (a) manual and ancillary workers, (b) clerical and certain related administrative staff and (c) technical staff, and express each as a percentage of the total universities general recurrent expenditure in the United Kingdom.

Student Accommodation
Mr. Livsey : To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science, if he will indicate the number of students resident in college accommodation in each university ; and what percentage of the total they represented in 1990 in (a) Wales and (b) England.
Mr. Alan Howarth : Information on the number of students resident in college accommodation in each university is contained in "University Statistics--Volume 3--Finance". The latest available information is for 1988-89. A copy of this publication is available in the Library.
School Buildings
Mr. Fatchett : To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will set out, at 1990 prices, the level of capital spending on school buildings for the latest available year for (a) Berkshire, (b) Essex, (c) Hereford and Worcester, (d) Nottinghamshire and (e) Somerset.
